Credentials & Professional Background

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with graduate training in both mental health counseling and psychology.

Education: Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas at El Paso and Master of Arts in Psychology from Houston Baptist University.

Military background: U.S. Army veteran, former combat medic, and recipient of the Combat Medical Badge. My military experience informs my understanding of trauma, operational stress, military culture, and the transition between military and civilian life.

Clinical focus areas include trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, stress, life transitions, military and veteran mental health, and the impact of difficult experiences on relationships, sleep, work, and everyday functioning.

My approach is practical, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based counseling methods. Credentials matter, but the therapeutic relationship matters too. Clients should understand what they are working on, why it matters, and whether the approach is actually helping.
